Winter Sleigh Rides at Bar W
Our Winter Sleigh Ride season has come to an end. The last sleigh ride went out on Feb 28, 2023. We will see you next sleigh ride season at Bar W!
When the temperature drops, it’s time to bundle up in winter gear and harness our favorite gentle giants- the draft teams! Gliding across Montana’s snow-blanketed landscape while cozied up under a plush blanket with family and friends on a horse-drawn sleigh ride, is a wintertime tradition.
Each sleigh ride winds through open fields, near the woodlands, giving you the chance to take in the beauty of the of the snow-covered landscape. The Bar W is located at the base of Spencer Mountain, providing an optional view of timbered ridges, Spencer Lake, and Montana’s expansive beauty.
Sleigh Ride Details
Bar W can fill each sleigh with 10 people. We can fill up to three sleighs a day. Sleigh ride booking begins at 1:30pm each day. Once the 1:30pm sleigh fills to 50%, we will open the 3:30pm ride and when that fills to 50%, we will open the 10:30am ride. Note, if you have more riders than is available in the sleigh, please give us a call and we can place you in one of the other sleighs together. Enjoy cookies, hot chocolate and coffee after the sleigh ride.
We do not have a minimum number of riders! Our rates are $65 per person. Ages 3 and under are free if they are sitting on someone’s lap. If you would like them to have their own seat in the sleigh, then the $65 charge will apply.

We do not serve alcohol; however, you are welcome to bring your own adult beverage to enjoy after the sleigh ride is over. Bar W does not allow any beverages on the sleigh ride itself. Thank you! Note, for 2022/2023 season, there will be sleigh rides available on New Years Day!
